I will reach my two year mark living in Japan by September 12th of this year. Living in a country as the minority is nothing new to me, I try to observe how Japan has changed my perception of myself. Do you think if you moved to a different country your perception of yourself would change? And how would you deal with it?

There may be a few things that Japan has allowed me to lean more into about myself, or to simply work to remove from myself. I wonder if I were to be living in a different country, which traits would that emphasize in me? Living in Japan has felt like a safe place for me to grow so far.
